Bread bag. Feels nice fits all the items I need for the most part. Not really meant for a long term trip but I get it. The price point is a bit steep but I decided to pull the trigger since I’d hope to have this for a very long time. But damn. If you make something similar for tech gear and stuff I’d buy it. But slimmer.

I have a toiletry bag that takes up a good part of my carry on suitcase. I have two ocean cruises coming up in the next year and a half and I need to downsize my toiletry bag without leaving out any essentials. The Explorer Plus Toiletry Bag is about 1/3 smaller than my current toiletry bag but much better organized. The bag has a strap that allows me to hang it over a towel rack and unfold it or I could just put it on the bathroom counter. The compartments are well thought out and, for example, there is a waterproof compartment for my electronic toothbrush but compartments with netting that hold other items and allow them to dry. I appreciate the included suggestions that suggest which items should be placed where. I will have exactly what I need for my carry on and my vacation, all in one organized place. Someone thought this product well.

My decades-old and well-traveled Hartmann dopp kit finally gave up the ghost, and I needed a new toiletry bag of some sort. While researching various kits and bags, I came upon a great review for the Gravel Explorer bag. Even though I'd never paid that much for a toiletry bag before, I decided to order one (the Explorer Plus), just to see what all the fuss was about. Even after I placed my order, however, I thought I'd probably be returning it. How wrong I was! When I travel, I want my bags and accessories to be well designed and made to last forever. The Explorer is both of these and more. Obviously designed by a fellow traveler, the seven pockets (including the fleece pocket for tech or jewelry), are sized and organized to fit everything I'd need to take -- even an electric toothbrush. I'd been afraid that this bag would be too big, yet it takes up less space than my dopp kit, or the hanging toiletry bags which fold over 3 or 4 times. It's flat on top, which makes it so much easier to pack in a suitcase. And thank you Gravel, for the included waterproof TSA-compliant bag which will certainly help during those airport security inspections. I'm sure that I'm reaching my word limit, but I must complement Gravel's customer service. They let me know when my order was received, packed, and delivered, and followed up afterwards to ask what I thought about the bag. Great product. Great company.

Haven’t traveled with it yet, but already have it loaded up and ready to go for a trip in a couple of weeks. It has really cut down the space needed for my toiletries from my old style that I have used since I was in the Navy. This will be perfect for carry on only travel.

Yes! It is not waterproof, although it is not water resistant. The sides and bottom of the bag are welded shut but the top water resistant zipper won't stop leakage 100%. Although it will prevent shampoo explosions, this bag was made to go inside your Explorer PLUS™ for an added layer of protection. With both layers of protection you will be safe from shampoo explosions!
The PLUS is for packing more, the SLIM is for packing light.
